Public Lecture by Professor James Snyder, Harvard University «The Space of Newspaper Policy Preferences»

Media outlets that report on politics objectively and without ideological bias are an important prerequisite so that media can fulfill their role as watchdogs in a democracy. This is one of the topics that the political economist Prof. James Snyder from Harvard University is working on. In his public lecture, he will share some of his latest research findings.

Public Lecture by Professor James Snyder

James M. Snyder, Jr. is the Leroy B. Williams Professor of History and Political Science at Harvard University. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Caltech and, before joining Harvard University, he taught for eighteen years in the Departments of Political Science and Economics at MIT. He has written on a variety of topics, including elections, campaign finance, legislative behavior and institutions, interest groups, direct democracy, the media, and corruption.
