Wow! The participants of the MBA Finance | Executive Master in Finance (MiF) 2023/2024 have now completed their first modules in Basel! The feedback was excellent, and the participants spent a hard, but successful week with two full modules.
We received a lot of input, and everyone including ourselves were inspired by the lectures. The participants were very active in discussing and interacting, solve cases and put theory into practice.
Prof. Dr. Fabian Schär completed the first course module on "Financial Innovation, Distributed Ledger Technology (Blockchain) and Fintech"
A highlight of the program was a visit to the Swiss National Bank (SNB). Participants were excited to learn about SNB's Distributed Ledger Projects and other topics.
The next module was directed by Prof. Dr. Tim A. Kroencke about "Capital Markets, Asset Valuation and Sustainability". Tim introduced to the secrets of risk and return on the capital markets and showed the limits and possibilities of active portfolio strategies. Some participants may have lost some illusions about making a quick buck on capital markets.
