Prof. Dr. Georg Nöldeke

Georg Nöldeke ist Professor an der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Basel. Sein Forschungsschwerpunkt ist die mikroökonomische Theorie, insbesondere die Spiel- und Vertragstheorie. In seinen Veröffentlichungen, die in Zeitschriften wie Econometrica, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Theory und Journal of Theoretical Biology erschienen sind, hat er sich unter anderem mit Themenstellungen wie der Effizienz von Gleichgewichten in Zuordnungsmärkten, der Evolution von kooperativem Verhalten und den Anreizwirkungen von Optionsverträgen auf Eigentumsrechte befasst. In der Lehre bietet er Vorlesungen in Mikroökonomie, Entscheidung unter Unsicherheit, Versicherungsökonomie und Vertragstheorie an.

Georg Nöldeke hat an der Universität Bonn, der University of California, Berkeley und der London School of Economics studiert. Bevor er 2006 nach Basel gekommen ist, war er Assistenzprofessor an der Princeton University (1992-94) und Professor an den Universitäten Bonn (1994-97 und 1999-2006) und Basel (1997-99). Bis Ende 2018 war Georg Nöldeke Vorsitzender des Theoretischen Ausschusses im Verein für Socialpolitik. Zur Zeit ist er Mitglied des Councils der Game Theory Society. An der Universität Basel ist er Mitgründer des Bernoulli Network for the Behavioral Sciences
