Teaching

We teach highly interdisciplinary concepts at the intersection of economics, computer science & cryptography and combine strong theoretic foundations with applied projects. This approach provides students with a tool set that allows them to tackle relevant research questions in academia and/or to excel on the job in the private sector.

Research Seminar Master and PhD Thesis

The research seminar allows students to present their Master Thesis or a PhD research paper in progress. Although this is optional, it is highly recommended to make use of this occasion, since you will receive valuable feedback.

Crypto Lectures

Due to the great demand from our students and the general public, we have decided to make the two main Bachelor and Master level courses on this topic available in an open-access format. At the intersection of economics, computer science, and cryptography, the courses comprehensively introduce various aspects of this fascinating topic. Being university-level courses, the high level of detail within the topics will require some time for you to complete. However, no prior knowledge is required.

Our goal is to provide anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of the topic with quality content completely free of charge. Having reached over 3'500 enrolled students via cryptolectures.io and more than 2'600 subscribers on the CIF YouTube channel, the continuous extension and maintenance of the courses and the supporting material in an online format is driven by the whole Blockchain / DLT team at the Center for Innovative Finance.

The course lectures are accessible on-demand on our YouTube channel, and via a teaching platform at cryptolectures.io, where supporting material and quizzes on each lecture are provided. All lecture slides and additional resources are maintained in an open-source git repository.
