Prof. Dr. Yvan Lengwiler
Prof. Dr. Yvan Lengwiler is professor for economics. His research interests are monetary policy and financial market regulation.
He is member of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), Vice President of the Investment Committee of the Pension Fund of the Government Personell of Basel-City (Pensionskasse Basel-Stadt, PKBS) and member of the Investment Committee of the pension fund of Manor & Jumbo.
He studied economics and got his PhD from University of St. Gallen in 1994. He was Research Consultant at the Swiss National Bank (1994-2001) and Assistant Professor at the University of Basel (2001-2005). Since 2005 he is Full Professor at the University of Basel. From 2013 to 2016 he was Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics.
