Alongside research, good teaching is the most important proof of our faculty's success. Ensuring the quality of teaching, recognizing students' problems with teaching and permanently improving the quality of teaching is an important concern of the Faculty of Business and Economics.
To this end, all of our courses are regularly evaluated, the results discussed and appropriate development measures introduced.
In principle, teaching evaluations take place every three years (for lectures, tutorials, seminars and colloquia). Courses taught by junior lecturers and assistant lecturers are evaluated each time they are held. Lecturers can also carry out additional evaluations of their courses at their own request. There may also be an examination evaluation. As a rule, examination evaluations only take place if a course evaluation has been waived in the same semester.
In order to continuously improve the quality of courses at the Faculty of Business and Economics, we rely on feedback from students. We therefore ask all students to give their lecturers regular feedback on the perceived strengths and weaknesses of the courses. This can be done anonymously (e.g. by means of a questionnaire, student representatives) or directly (e.g. individually after the course, by e-mail).
If you have any questions, the Dean of Studies' Office will be happy to help you.
