39509-01 Kolloquium: Experimental Organization

In recent years, laboratory experiments in economics have studied important organizational questions. What can we learn from these experiments for organizational practice? And what are the most important aspects to design, conduct and analyze a successful lab experiment? This course introduces organizational lab experiments as an empirical research method. Topics include teamwork, co-operation, reciprocity and intrinsic motivation versus economic incentives.

Students will design, conduct and analyze their own lab experiment in groups up to 4 persons. Each group writes a short paper on their experimental findings. The course includes a variety of didactic elements such as classic lectures, design and data analyze workshops, open discussions, group work, and writing a short paper.

See the course directory for further information.

All course material will be posted on ADAM.
