Starting in July 2026, Professor Beat Hintermann is taking over as chair of the Standing Field Committee on Environmental and Resource Economics (Ausschuss für Umwelt- und Ressourcenökonomik / AURÖ)  of the Verein für Socialpolitik — the leading academic network for environmental and resource economics in the German-speaking world.
