My research and teaching activities revolve around international macroeconomics and finance, with a particular focus on international borrowing of governments. I am also interested in the macroeconomic development and political economy of open economies.
I am affiliated to the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and my research has been published in international academic journals such as the American Economic Review, the Journal of the European Economic Association, the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, and The Economic Journal.
