General regulations that affect all students at the University of Basel are laid down in the Student Regulations (only available in German). There are study regulations for each degree programme. You can compare these regulations with a legal text. The "implementation regulations" of the respective study regulations can in turn be found in the study guide. These are supplemented by information sheets on individual aspects of your studies, such as "permitted aids for an examination" or "writing a master's thesis".

With the help of forms you can, for example, apply for credit transfers of study achievements obtained outside of the university or report to the Dean of Studies' Office in case you are unable to take an examination due to illness.

The medium-term curricula are compilations of all courses planned for the study programs at our faculty in the coming academic year. In addition, the published timetables inform you about the courses offered in the current semester.

Please note that not all documents are available in English. However, those relevant for the master's programs taught in English (Business and Technology, Economics and Public Policy, International and Monetary Economics, Finance and Money) were translated whenever possible.
