On January 21-23, 2020, an international symposium “The Coal Challenge: Climate Change, Employment, Energy Politics” took place at the University of Basel. The event was hosted by the research project #COALSTAKE. On this occasion, Swiss Network for International Studies (SNIS) filmed an interview with Prof. Aya Kachi, the project coordinator, asking about the project logistics, how recent news might influence the research, and the importance of employment issues in the context of national coal phase-out policies.
